Trains, Trains, and More Trains

Chug-a-chug-a-choo-choo. Have you ever said that? Out loud? If so, you probably know someone or live with someone who plays with trains. I've got one or two in my house.

Scooter has a wooden railway train set that he likes to play with. When he's not playing with the set, it resides in a plastic container. In lots of pieces.

So when Scooter decides he'd like to play trains, we have to set up the track. He usually needs some mommy help, though he's getting really good at setting up a track by himself. Here's what we ended up with once:

Do you think we could repeat that again? Nope.

Here's what we got:

Biker Boy suggested we take pictures of the tracks we set up, print them out, and keep them in the train box. Now why didn't I think of that?

So now we can do this:

And this:
And this.....
Okay, I'll stop. I'm beginning to become a runaway train! You get the picture. We can recreate old tracks we've made or we can create new ones. It's also good for Scooter to work with the picture and figure out how to make it, like a puzzle.

Do you have any train lovers? Are you going to be walking around saying, "chug-a-chug-a-choo-choo?" Jump on board and build a train track. It's kinda fun! Enjoy!
