Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

Let's talk mirrors.  Yep, mirrors, as in those objects with a reflective surface.  What kind of mirrors do you have in your house?  I'm assuming you have at least one, right?  When we walked through our house and decided to buy it there weren't any mirrors.  We put in the purchase agreement that we wanted mirrors in the bathrooms.  Perhaps we should have been specific and said something like, "Venetian Mirrors in the bathroom, please."  We ended up with those standard builder grade mirrors clipped to the wall.

I don't mean to complain because we really like our bathroom (at least I really like the big waste of space), but the mirrors are a little lackluster.  Not to mention that someone didn't measure very well and the light fixtures aren't positioned correctly.  Oh well.  I've thought of framing out the mirrors with wood, except there are those clips to deal with and the fact that the outlets are a half inch below the mirror.  Not to mention my lack of time and tools.  So I took an extreme creative measure and gathered things from the house for a $0 makeover.  I grabbed some wire from the garage and some jewelry wire from the craft closet and made a "wire frame."  Not exactly fancy, but it's something.

Too bad I didn't specify Venetian mirrors when we purchased the house.  Have you visited Venetian Mirrors Boutique?  Ooh la lah!  Can you picture this mirror up in my bathroom?  I'd probably spend too much time in there.  I'd be looking at the mirror, not at myself.

Any one of these mirrors would look darling above my little girl's princess bed.  She loves pink and sparkly things!

But don't just stop at mirrors!  Take a look at the drool worthy consoles, buffets, cosmetic trays, and tissue boxes.  You can have pretty tissue boxes!  Not to mention pretty wastebaskets!

You can also find picture frames, jewelry boxes, shelves, sconces, vanity sinks, tables, and much more.

Just go take a peek at Venetian Mirrors Boutique.  Even if you're not going to buy anything you ought to go take a look.  If you do buy something, they offer free shipping!

Now I'm tempted to go and hot glue some decorative glass stones to the perimeter of the mirror in the kids' bathroom.  You ought to click on over to Venetian Mirrors Boutique and get a little inspiration yourself!

How do you pretty up a basic mirror?  Thanks so much for stopping by and have yourself a wonderful day!
