Easy Butterscotch Rolls

Hello Everyone!  I hope you had a lovely holiday weekend!  I realized I haven't shared a recipe in a bit, so it's time.  I whipped up these Easy Butterscotch Rolls for my MOPS group today.  The firemen got to take the leftovers (that's a good story!).  So if you need an easy breakfast, brunch, or sweet item....check these out.  I usually keep the supplies on hand so I can bake these up.  I guess that means I need to get more rolls at the grocery store during my next visit.

I've got my mom to thank for taking a multi step recipe and making it super easy....and yummy!  Thanks mom!

Now if you like a version with pictures...here you go.

Grease a 9x13 pan and sprinkle nuts on the bottom.  Top with frozen rolls.

In a medium saucepan, melt one stick of butter over low heat.  Add 1 small box of butterscotch pudding mix, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 heaping teaspoon of cinnamon.  Remove from heat.

Add 2 tablespoons water and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.

Pour the butterscotch mixture over the rolls.

Cover light and let the rolls sit out overnight.  They should have risen by the morning.

In the morning, bake at 350 F for 20-25 minutes.

Flip out of a pan onto a tray to serve.  (I flipped my out onto the lid of the pan I cooked them in because they were easy to transport that way.  Mine sat covered up for nearly an hour before they were served, so they went a little flat.  But they're still tasty!)

Enjoy!  What tasty and tempting treats can you whip up easily?  Feel free to hit "food" in the labels section and you'll find such goodies as baklava and rocky road brownies!  And thanks so much for stopping by!  I'm so glad that you did!

  1. Oh these are soooo good {and addicting}! Here we call it Monkey Bread and I make it in a round angel food cake pan and cut it in slices when we are ready to eat it. It doesn't last long at our house. :)
