Making a Giving Thanks Tree

The kids and I made a Giving Thanks Tree.

I was responsible for cutting the oak branches from the tree while they munched on a treat from their Halloween bucket.  I think they got the better end of the deal.  Chewy filled a vase with beans while Scooter cut some yarn.  Then we had the a talk about what we're thankful for.  No more than 2 toys a piece was the rule.  Scooter covered it with, "Toys."  Chewy got in "Baby Dolls" and "Bunny Bear."  Sometimes I'm thankful she has Bunny Bear and sometimes I'm not.

I wrote down what they were thankful for and we hung them on the tree.  It's our Giving Thanks Tree.

They're thankful for everything from their toys to their family to God and Jesus.  Me too.

And I'm thankful for them and Biker Boy.  Truly blessed.

What are you thankful for?
