Operation Christmas Child 2010

*Check out the current giveaway happening at Home.Kids.Life. here*

It was nice to get some lovely gifts for my birthday, but you know what?  I love to give gifts even more.

Once again we've packed boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  We've done this since my oldest was a newborn.  Every year we pack a box for a girl the same age as my daughter and a box for a boy the same age as my son (or nearest to it).  You can see the boxes from last year here and here

We even packed boxes at our MOPS meeting this year.  I love it!  Be sure to check out Operation Christmas Child at Samaritan's Purse and you can even watching some touching videos.  Have your tissue handy!  The national collection week this year for the boxes is November 15-22.

Here's a peek at our boxes and Ranger doing his usual mid-day thing.  Wish I could nap too.  I just had to get the dog in the picture.  Of course.

And here I am blogging and procrastinating on my house cleaning and laundry.  Things went a little crazy fun here during birthday celebration week.  But it's lovely to be able to share with others!  And Operation Christmas Child is a lovely way to share something with other children.  Especially that they are loved by Jesus.  Because that's what Christmas is about.  *smile*

Do you love gift giving too?  Anything that brings you to tears?  Sleepy dogs on your couch?  Piles of laundry and dishes that you are procrastinating about too?

Enjoy your weekend!
