What Parents Say

There were some things your parents said when you were a kid that you probably swore you'd never say to your kid.  Now that you have children you just may or may not find yourself saying them.
Because I said so.
You'll understand when you're older.
This won't hurt.
I'm just going to wiggle it.  (Dad!)
Because I said so.
Just because.
That's enough.
Do you want me to pull this car over?
Because I said so.
Let's play 'who can be the quietest.'
Go ask your mother/father.
Wait till your father gets home.
No dessert unless....
Go clean your room.
Because I said so.
Because it's good for you.
This won't hurt.
How many times do I have to tell you?
Not until you're older.
Because your brother/sister is older/younger.
You need to take a bath.
What am I going to do with you?
I'll have to think about it.
Finish your homework.
I'm going to count to three.
Let me talk about it with mommy/daddy.
If you can't share, no one can have it.
Do you need some time to think about your room?
Because I'm the mommy/daddy.

This is by no means a complete list.  Feel free to comment and add your own "parent sayings."  Go ahead and make my day!  Because I said so.
