Sunny Side Up

The kids and I have been spending the remainder of our summer just playing.  Hard to believe school starts in just over 2 weeks.

I had the camera handy while we were playing yesterday.  I'm not a photographer, not all the creative, and I don't have a fancy camera.  Well, I love my camera and I'm not paid to say that.  It's an inexpensive Nikon Coolpix. I use it a lot.  Lately I'm just trying to photograph the kids doing their normal things.  You know...brushing teeth, sleeping, playing, and such.

I was laying on our concrete patio yesterday and Scooter stood over me.  So I took his picture looking up at him.  I wanted to try and see what the beautiful blue sky would look like as a background.  I had Scooter take off his hat and sunglasses.  The poor child couldn't even look down at the ground because it was "too bright."  I took 5 pictures of him and 2 were with his eyes shut.  Another 2 were with his eyes half open and the last one was his best shot.  It's still goofy.  But that's what I love about it.  He's my goofy boy.

Chewy was up next and whipped off her sunglasses and hat like she was a model.  I think she just liked standing over me.  That girl's goofy in her own way too.  I got 5 shots of her that were pretty good.  Here's the best one.

Do you always have a camera handy or not?  Any favorite shots that you've taken lately?  How about any photography tips?
